A Plan For You!

All students living in the residence halls must be on one of the three meal plans. Students living in Sontag, the Atwood efficiencies or Linde apartments, which all have kitchens and house only upperclass students, may elect to be on or off the meal plan. Exceptions for those living in other areas can be made only through the Dean of Students Office and only for extreme medical conditions.

The meal plan options involve "Board Plus" dollars, which can be used for food at any of the Claremont Colleges' retail sites with a card "swiping" machine. The choices are 16 meals plus $16 Plus dollars per week; 12 meals plus $12 Plus dollars per week; and 8 meals plus $8 Plus dollars per week. They are spent like a pre-paid credit card. Plus dollars cannot be traded for cash.

The cost and billing of the meal plan is handled by the Office of Student Accounts. Requests to change plans should be directed to that office or the dean of residential life during the first week of the semester.
